The Prem’s bargains offer very attractive prices, starting from 22€ (Prem's price for a single ticket in 2nd class (in normal period for a TGV) and up to the number of seats available. Sold up to 14 days before departure.)

The earlier you reserve, the less you pay.

Prem's rate cannot be exchanged and is non-refundable.

2Prem's Bons Plans du Net

Since 27 November 2007, SNCF has been offering: "Prem’s Bons Plans du Net"
  • This is an Internet-only offer
  • Offers at reduced rates are proposed for a selection of destinations that are updated in real time: you could take advantage of up to 60% off your train tickets in 1st and in 2nd class.
The ways to obtain your "Prem’s Bons Plans du Net" train ticket are:

Have it sent to your home

Retrieve it from a self-service terminal in French stations. You must have the dossier reference number and the name associated with it in order to retrieve the tickets.
 
"Prem’s Bons Plans du Net" train tickets cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable. They are valid for single journeys only.

3Loisir rates

Thanks to the Leisure rates, which are valid for everyone and carry no age condition, you can obtain tickets at any time of the year and they can be exchanged and refunded free of charge up to the day before departure, at attractive prices.

 The price of your ticket changes according to how early you purchase your ticket.

The earlier you reserve, the better chances you have to obtain reduced prices. Our objective is to offer the best rate available according to how early you reserve.

 Weekend Loisir rate: you can also take advantage of "weekend" prices if you purchase your tickets in the days just before departure, for return trips taken during the day on Saturday or on Sunday, or including the night from Saturday to Sunday at destination (subject to availability).

Exchange and refund service:

Free exchange and refund service up to the day before departure, and with an administrative charge of 10€ per person and per segment on the day of departure (or 50% of the value of the ticket when the latter is less than 20€).
After departure, tickets at the Leisure rate cannot be exchanged or refunded.

412-25, Enfant+, Senior, Escapades card rates

Thanks to the reduction cards, you have the guarantee of paying less than travellers without cards (For the same trip purchased at the same time, except for Prem's rates which cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable)!

You benefit from a guaranteed minimum reduction of 25% even at the last minute (reductions are calculated based on the standard Leisure rate).

Tip: Reserve your train tickets in advance, or travel during off-peak periods in order to benefit from the best reductions!

As a loyal customer, you can take advantage of preferable conditions and especially a 25% reduction, guaranteed up to the last minute!

Travel with peace of mind thanks to the "Travel Sheet", service included with the Senior Card and which is available for a selection of destinations.

Before your departure, we will send you by mail or e-mail all the necessary information for your trip (schedules, seating on board the train, station maps, services, etc.)!

Exchange and refund service:

Free exchange and refund service up until the day before departure.

Service charge for exchanges and refunds on the day of departure: 3€ (instead of 10€ for travellers without cards)

5PRO rates

We have modified our rate structure especially to meet the needs of travellers that are looking for maximum flexibility to exchange and refund their tickets, as well as included services allowing them to optimise their mobility.

The Pro offering is not limited to professional customers. You can reserve a Pro rate for any reason your travel may be.

Two Pro rates are available:

- Pro 1st rate

- Pro 2nd rate

Exchange and refund service:

Exchanges and refunds for Pro rate tickets are free of charge up to departure (and even within the hour after departure, subject to certain conditions); after departure, tickets at the Pro rate can be exchanged and refunded for 60 days, subject to an administrative charge of 50% of the value of the ticket.

Please note: Abonnement Forfait ticket holders benefit from the same exchange and refund conditions as well as the same services as the associated Pro rate.

Abonnement Frequence Ticket holders benefit from the same flexibility as the Pro rates (free exchange, Last Minute Access, Minute Pro Exchange Terminals, etc.).

7Conditions for exchanges and refunds

The exchange and refund conditions for the various rates are as follows:

Pro Rate: can be exchanged and refunded free of charge up to departure (and even within the hour after departure, subject to certain conditions); after departure, Pro rate tickets can be exchanged and refunded for 60 days, subject to an administrative charge of 50% of the value of the ticket.

Please note: Abonnement Forfait Ticket holders benefit from the same conditions for exchange and refunds as well as the same services as the associated Pro rate.

Abonnement Fréquence Ticket holders benefit from the same flexibility as the Pro rates (free exchange, Last Minute Access, Minute Pro Exchange Terminals, etc.).

Loisir Rate: can be exchanged and refunded free of charge up tothe day before departure, and with an administrative charge of 10€ per person and per segment on the day of departure (or 50% of the value of the ticket when the latter is less than 20€); this charge is only 3€ for holders of the 12-25, Senior, Child+ or Escapades discount cards; after departure, Leisure rate tickets cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable.

Prem’s Tickets: cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable.

Prem's Bons Plans du Net Tickets: cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable.

For rates concerning large family cards, Annual holiday, military families, etc., exchanges and refunds are free up to the day before departure, with a 3€ service charge on the day of departure. These rates cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable after departure.

8Reserve at the best rates on the site

The on-line reservation engine at www.tgv-europe.com was developed to offer the best rates available that corresponds to your request and profile.

On the following page, just fill in the required fields (place of departure, date, time bracket, passengers, age, class, comfort options) and confirm your search without choosing any special rates if you do not benefit from any SNCF discount card (senior, 12-25, child plus, escapades or subscription cards).

The site will optimise the search and will show you the trains that meet your request, sorted from the least to the most expensive. The specific conditions are also displayed.

Once you have chosen your trains, the confirmation page for your order will be displayed. This page will only offer methods for obtaining your ticket that are compatible with the date of departure and the rate that you have selected.

The on-line help service does not provide estimate by email since the rates are calculated in real time and there can be a change in the rate between the time that we answer you and when you actually reserve.

9Reserving a train ticket with a discount card or subscription

1.    Click on the "Reservations" tab on the home page of the: www.tgv-europe.com site.


 
2.    Enter the information concerning your trip (date, times, number of travellers, etc.)

3.    For question 3 "Who is travelling?", you can select the card or subscription that each of the travellers may hold:


 
Discounts and subscription cards are displayed in the "no card or subscription" pull-down menu.

The Grand Voyageur card and the loyalty programmes are displayed in the "no loyalty programme" pull-down menu.

Click on "Search now". The search engine will offer the best rates that are available, taking your subscription or loyalty card into account.

10What rate meets best my needs?

  • If your top priority is the lowest price possible → Reserve early and opt for the Prem’s rates (according to availability, tickets cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable)
  • If you are looking for the best price but want to maintain a certain degree of flexibility to exchange your ticket or obtain a refund → Opt for the Leisure rates (the earlier you plan your purchase, the less you pay).
 Do you travel with the Leisure Offer on a regular basis? With the 12/25, Escapades, Senior and Child+ Cards, it is guaranteed that you pay less than a travellers who don’t have a card (for the same trip, purchased at the same time, excluding "Prem’s" rates which cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable), and you benefit from a guaranteed minimum reduction of 25% (reductions are calculated based on the standard Leisure rate)!
  • You are looking for maximum flexibility and exclusive services → Opt for the Pro rates that allow you to benefit from:
-    free exchange and refund service up to departure
-    simplified purchase and exchange for your ticket
-    Last Minute Access (access to the previous or following train, to the same destination, but with no guarantee of a seat)

11I can't find a Prem's rate for my itinerary

1. Your segment does not appear in the list of PREM'S reductions.

SNCF is constantly striving to set up segments and rates that best correspond to customer expectations. The offer must satisfy the majority of the customers, keeping in mind that it is difficult to satisfy everyone at once.

2. Your segment appears in the list of PREM’S reductions but the site does not offer any PREM’S.

The Prem's rate is sold up to the limit of available seats, starting from 22 euros for a TGV segment and 17€ for a Téoz segment. If you cannot find a Prem's rate from 17 or 22 euros, this means that this rate is sold out.
