Thalys
As a European high speed network, Thalys provides multiple connections between France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. 17 cities in total benefit from direct connections.
Thalys also provides 6 daily connections between Brussels and Cologne in 2h20, up to 8 connections between Brussels and Amsterdam in 2h40 (via Antwerp, Rotterdam, The Hague and Schiphol airport) and 6 daily connections between Paris and Cologne in 3h50.
In order to provide you with even better service, Thalys is giving you a wider choice of fares for all your journeys from 1 September. Simpler and more flexible, they have designed new deals to meet your hanging needs and travel habits.
All the fares are available on a oneway ticket basis. And fares are flexible as well with prices to suit all pockets. Une souplesse qui se retrouve également côté prix. To obtain the best deal for your journey up to 3 months before departure, there’s only one thing to remember: the earlier you book, the better the price!
The main assets
Whatever space you choose, Comfort 1 or Comfort 2, your clients will enjoy a comfortable journey: dimmed lights, air conditioning, individual seats with head rest, leg rests and tables.
Comfort 1Brussels-Paris from 70€** in comfort
- catering at your seat: special onboard staff serves meals corresponding with the time (breakfast, snacks, light meals)
- a selection of daily press
- taxi booking when arriving in Paris or Brussels Midi. Booking is done with the catering staff at least 30 min before arrival. The client benefits from a personal welcome.
- the Club Quatre and Club Duo spaces enable you to travel with friends or colleagues.
- the Salon space enables you to hold a work meeting with 6 persons.
Comfort 2
Brussels-Paris from 25€** in comfort 2
- the passenger can go to the Bar coach for a light meal or a drink.

Comfort and services
- the tickets for public transport in Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris can be purchased in the bar, without price supplement.
- the clients can make and receive calls on their mobile phone during the whole journey. They can use the platforms at the extremities of every coach or the bar outside busy periods to make their calls in a quiet place
- the clients can place their luggage with compulsory labels in the spaces at the extremity of the coaches or in the baggage racks above the seats, restricted to two suitcases and one hand luggage per person.
Destinations and timetables
The Thalys service is based on Brussels-Paris: a departure from Brussels midi every 30 minutes at 13 and 43 minutes past every hour and a departure from Paris Nord every 30 minutes at 25 and 55 minutes past every hour.

For frequent travellers
The Lys card- the individual and nominative Lys card is valid for 3, 6 or 12 months from the date chosen by the client. It allows unlimited travel between Belgium and Paris with 50% discount on the HI-Life price.
- the Thalys Corporate Programme is destined for enterprises whose employees frequently travel between Paris, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
- the programme reduces the travel expenses by offering a discount of 15 % on the HI-Life ticket price.
- the members of the Programme may exchange their ticket without restrictions and free of charge :
- before the time of departure: in all the stations and authorised travel agencies
- until 1 hour after departure: in the departure station indicated on the Thalys ticket
- the members of the Programme can be refunded by 100% before the departure, and up to one hour after departure in the departure station indicated on the Thalys ticket. Later than one hour after departure the deduction is 50%.
Thalys offers its clients a loyalty programme called Cybelys to make their journey easier by offering them a range of services. For example:
- the holders of the Cybelys card can travel Ticketless (without paper ticket).
- Access to the Thalys Lounge in Brussels Midi and the lounge Grand Voyageur at Paris Nord
- Free booking of a meeting room in the Thalys lounge at Brussels Midi
- Direct telephone exchange

Exchange terms
Where: In any SNCF station or shop or the travel agency where you bought your tickets.
The Thalys tickets are exchangeable:
- HI-Life, TCP, Kid&co and Kid* - unrestricted before departure
- up to one hour after departure in the station of departure indicated on the ticket
- Optiway
- once until the day before departure - Youth and Senior
- once up to one hour after departure in the departure station indicated on the ticket - Adults&Co
- once until one day before departure - Smoove tickets are non-exchangeable.
Refund terms
You've purchased your ticket on www.tgv-europe.com
You are in France: Confirm your seat availability before the departure of your train in a SNCF shop or on 36 35 (0.23 €/min): you will avoid a fee by doing so. As soon as your booking is cancelled, please return your ticket to the SNCF customer relations service (address below).
You are outside France: Confirm your seat's renewed availability before the departure of your train in a CFF, SNCB, NS, CFL station or SNCF shop : you will avoid a fee by doing so. As soon as your booking is cancelled, please return your ticket to the SNCF customer relations service.

Don't forget to indicate all your bank details in international format (IBAN and BIC code). Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Conditions
The Thalys tickets are refundable:
- by 100% before departure and up to one hour after departure in the Thalys station of departure if you hold a HI-Life, TCP, Kid & Co or Kid ticket. Later than one hour after departure you will be refunded 50%.
- by 50% before departure and up to one hour after departure in the Thalys station of departure if you hold an OptiWay, Youth, Senior, and Adult&Co ticket. No refunds afterwards.
Smoove tickets are non-refundable.
Commitment of guaranteed timetable
Your Thalys International train reached its destination 30 minutes later than the planned time, on an international journey? Except in case of force majeure, the client is compensated.
If the delay is higher than 30, 60 or 120 minutes, Thalys respectively offers 20, 50 or 100% of the price of the relevant journey. The amount of the compensation cannot be less than 5 €**.
