Automatic ticket machine: save time
Situated in stations and SNCF shops, automatic ticket machines allow you to exchange your ticket for a reservation on an identical journey for the same or next day (the ticket must have a magnetic strip).

Condition

The unconditional exchange of a Corail ticket:

is free up to a few minutes prior to the departure of your train: to obtain for all or part of the initial journey: a ticket with a reservation / smaller reduction / upgrade or in case of exchange of a “Découverte à deux” ticket.
with 10% deduction* for other fares.

Certain tickets are not exchangeable: Prems, Last-Minute Offers, Billet Imprimé®, TGV set night fares and some international tickets.

Corail tickets with reservations are exchangeable:

100% prior to the departure of the train (with the exception of certain non-exchangeable fares, such as Prems or Last-Minute Offers, etc.).
with 50% deduction* for Full Fare tickets, subscriptions, Pass’Entreprise and armed forces after the train has departed.

All other fares are non-exchangeable and non-refundable once the train has departed.

Once your Corail train has departed, arrange a new "seat" reservation for €1.5 while the train of your choice is open for reservations. You can also take another train (without being guaranteed a seat) for the entire duration of your ticket’s validity.

* The deduction is calculated on the price of the initial journey.

Refund

1/ You've purchased your ticket on www.tgv-europe.com

You are in France: cancel your reservation before departure of your train in the nearest train station, SNCF shop, or by simply calling 36 35 (0.23 €/min) : this way you will avoid a deduction. Once your reservation has been cancelled, return your ticket to the SNCF customer relations centre (adress mentionned below).

You are outside France: cancel your reservation in the nearest train station : this way you will avoid a deduction. Once your reservation has been cancelled, return your ticket to the SNCF customer relations centre:

Conditions

Corail tickets with reservations are refundable:

100% prior to departure (with the exception of certain non-refundable fares, such as Prems or Last-Minute Offers).
with 50% deduction after departure for Full Fare tickets and up to 60 days after the intended date of travel.

All other fares are non-exchangeable and non-refundable once the train has departed.

Corail without reservations are refundable:

with 10% deduction* from the day of purchase until the end of the period of use indicated on the ticket.

Certain tickets are subject to special conditions: Découverte à deux, Prems, Last-Minute Offers, Billet Imprimé®, JVS, Annual Leave, Group.

* The deduction is calculated on the price of the initial journey.

Guaranteed time promise

Did your Corail train arrive at its destination with a delay of more than 30 minutes compared with the scheduled time, for journeys equal to or greater than 100 km?

If the delay is attributable to the SNCF*, compensation in the form of a “Travel Voucher” is offered to passengers. It represents one third of the price of the ticket. The amount of compensation may not be less than €4.60**.

To obtain this compensation:
Complete the “regularity” envelope available on leaving the train, and insert your original ticket. Post it (free in France).

*This promise does not apply when the cause of the delay cannot be attributed to the SNCF (malicious action, demonstration by persons outside the SNCF, appearance of an obstacle on the track, etc.).
