To go from Lyon to Cologne or from London to Amsterdam, you go from one rail transporter to another and Railteam makes your journey easier. Welcome to the high speed European network.

The idea: extend the benefits you already experience with Thalys, TGV, TGV Lyria, or Eurostar to a European scale.

The ambition: turn the high speed trains into an ultra-competitive alternative to travel by car or plane for all your European journeys.

 

The 7 club

The overview is already a tour of Europe There is :

• Deutsche Bahn (Germany)
• Eurostar (United Kingdom, France, Belgium)
• NS Hispeed (Netherlands)
• ÖBB (Austria)

Add their mutual affiliates TGV Lyria, Thalys, and Alleo, and you get a large choice of destinations and the alliance will be able to develop.
The European network should treble by 2020 to reach 15 000 km of high speed lines.

 

Your benefits

As from today, the Railteam information points will welcome you and facilitate your connections in the “hubs ” (connection platforms) of the Railteam network.

Along your journey the information is multi-lingual, in the station and onboard, and if a late Railteam train makes you miss your connection, you can get on the following Railteam train without changing your ticket. This service called ‘Hop on the next train' applies, subject to availability, and without guarantees of a seat, exclusively for Railteam connections in the same station.

The most loyal travellers will definitely be privileged: they have access to all the business lounges of the network (more than 36 today) and to the advantages of affiliated member cards, the hire of cars at reduced prices in all the European capitals for example.

 

And tomorrow…

The distribution will be European. Developments are occurring to give you access to an even broader choice of destinations, timetables and prices, particularly for journeys involving several Railteam transporters.

We also do everything in our power to extend the facilities for home ticket buying, including international travel.

These improvements will be available as from mid-2009.
