Travel with your luggage
On trains, only take luggage that you can easily carry
Do not obstruct the aisles with oversized luggage or large numbers of bags and cases.
For transporting your luggage in stations:
- luggage trolleys are available on platforms and at the main points of access in most major stations. Most are fitted with a deposit system: when you have finished, leave your trolley at one of the return points to get your coin back.
- Porters are also available in the largest stations in France. They can be recognised by their red jackets. Do not hesitate to ask them to carry your luggage. The fee is €4.50 maximum for 3 pieces of luggage.
To stow your luggage on board
You have:
- luggage racks above your seat in all trains,
- luggage racks close by you in some TGVs, in the very centre of the coach, and spaces available behind or under your seat,
- luggage spaces at both ends of your coach in most TGVs and main-line trains other than TGVs. Use them for your largest pieces of luggage, but do not leave items of value in them.
Items and luggage are carried entirely at your own responsibility.
